On all 4's

We now rock on all 4's but we don't really go anywhere. When he gets tired he just drops his belly and then rolls over!

Rolling his tounge

For the last couple of days Ty has been rolling his tounge and I have been trying to catch it on video. I finally got it, BUT it is at the end of the 3 minute video...ENJOY!

Soy beans

Daddy: ewww why are you giving him those?? 

Mommy: They are packed with iron and since he can't eat iron fortified cereal he has to get it somewhere...

Daddy: That is gross.

Mommy: I know, I am not eating it...

sensory play!

We did some sensory play with left over spaghetti. Ty was having fun squishing it between his fingers and then he started to eat it. No big deal until I noticed some not so nice black spots on a few pieces so that was the end of that! I put it into a bag with some water and the play continued! He smacked it and kicked it and had so much fun!

Guess who loves broccoli? I guess he is my son after all ;)

Brush your teeth

It is never too early to start taking care of your (2) teeth so we have started brushing every night before we go to bed. Well, we chew on a toothbrush anyways...

Finger Foods

Ty refuses to eat any pureed vegetables so we have moved on to gumming real food! THIS IS SO MESSY but he eats them!

Beep Beep

T stayed with us for the weekend and Ty LOVES this little man. Everything he does makes Ty laugh, even just saying beep beep!

Blizzard!

We were slammed with 2 inches of snow!!! Tristan and Chris threw snowballs at each other while the car was warming up. Naturally when there is snow you should leave your house to go get pizza! While we were eating Ty enjoyed nibbling on the crust!

Lee Brice Concert

Lindsay and I went to see Lee Brice at Cyotee Joe's while Chris stayed home with the boys!!! My husband rocks!

Valentine's Day

Ty and I wanted to make special cupcakes for Daddy on Valentine's Day. This was the first time Ty sat in the shopping cart without his car seat. He started to struggle towards the end so I stuffed my purse and a blanket in there to give him a little more support. Now I can get SO much more in the cart!!! OH, and the cupcakes were AMAZING!!!!

Blueberries was an instant favorite!

8 months!

I don't know where the time has gone, but 8 amazing months have passed through in a blink of an eye! You have such a laid back personality, and everyone who meets you says you seem like such a happy baby. Your 2 bottom teeth have come in, and you have been putting them to good use. You LOVE mum mums and have tasted some teething biscuits. You are a big fan of fruit, and I have to feed you green vegetables in between bites of fruit.You can sit up now, but you are still unstable for long periods of time. You no longer stay where I put you and roll around. Your favorite place to roll is under the bed, and as I was trying to take your picture you did just that. When Mommy or Daddy walk into the room you smile and lean to us. You also reach your arms up when you want us to pick you up. You like to stick your Gervais tongue out too!

Froyo time!

I have been working on Ty's alphabet book and we needed something for the letter Y, so we HAD to go get some frozen yogurt ;)

Yucky Formula

We decided to add formula to your diet, but your tummy had different plans! It started out fine, you were drinking your bottle but about 5 ounces into it you stopped. You sat with Daddy for 5 minutes before you threw up all over him! After a couple more bouts of vomiting you started getting this rash. Poor baby, first your cereal makes you sick and now formula. You reaction to formula was more intense then cereal.

sitting up

Although he will only sit for a few minutes at a time, he can sit up by himself. When we went to play at a friends house there were 3 year old playing and he sat up and watched them for like 10 minutes! But without someone to entertain him he would rather roll on the floor :)

A day of food!

Today we introduced peaches and oh boy, this is the first fruit you do not like! You also tried frozen bananas in the mesh feeder and a new teething cookie! YUM YUM!

Wedding Angel

My wedding dress has been rolled up in the same suit case that I packed it in upon leaving Vegas and heading to Mexico. Cheryl had shown me her wedding dress angel and passed along my dress to the same woman who made hers. I LOVE that this dress has been remade into something I can enjoy again, because let's face it. I am not wearing it again, and it was just going to collect dust in my closet ( I mean stay wrinkled in a suite case) so this is a much better way to cherish the memories from our special day!

Mum Mum

After Ty enjoyed the teething biscuit from Cheryl, I decided to buy some! This turned out to be easier said then done. I have no idea why, but I went to 4 stores looking for them with no luck?!? While in Target my frustration level was through the roof, I just want these darn cookies! Another Mom was in the baby food isle and I decided to ask if she knew where EVERY store was hiding these infamous cookie. She said she always bought them in this isle (so I am not a complete idiot) but she told me about Mum Mums. Another mom came into the isle and picked up a box of Mum Mums and added how her kids loved them and they don't make a mess like teething cookies, plus when they bite the off they dissolve . No mess, no choking hazard, organic choices,  YES PLEASE! Then the woman opened the box and handed one to her child and said, this is how I make it through my shopping with peace. SO, us Mom's have to stick together so I opened a box and gave Ty one. AMAZING! I was able to go down every isle in the store! LIFE.CHANGING.MOMENT...

Balloon

We went into walmart (first mistake) to get our taxes done and after waiting an hour (second mistake) Tyler informed us he was not interested in taxes (third mistake). We did manage to entertain him with a balloon for 15 minutes. Once we FINALLY sat down to do out taxes the lady had to call someone and it was taking so long I ended up feeding Tyler in the fitting rooms (I can't do public feeding....) and after 20 minutes of me walking him in circles around the isles he fell sleep. Too bad we have to come back tomorrow, she was out of ink and I forgot Ty's social security card...
