We no longer just lean back in our chair. Now we lean forward to the point of almost falling out! So much fun...

Green Beans

Ty was like you better get that crap away from me...He eventually stopped opening his mouth so I have to alternate pears with every bite! So funny!

Can I hold him?

Edric really wanted to hold Ty so before we got ready to leave he got his chance. It was so cute to watch Ty play with Edric as Cheryl and I were trying to get a cute picture!

It was a long ride home so Ty took his turn and gave Daddy a break ;)

Teething cookie

We were out to eat with the Coppolella family and Ty was a little fussy so Cheryl gave us a teething cookie. I was a little nervous because of his reaction to oatmeal but we gave it a shot. To say he liked it is the understatement of the year! He sat there and nibbled on that cookie, and oh what a mess he made! I will say the mess was well worth the happy/content/not screaming baby that was letting me eat my dinner!

Pears

Of course he loves pears! We tried these on our way down to GA for the weekend.

Ty's 1st tooth!

I was trying to show Ty's new tooth, but every time I open his mouth that Gervais tongue gets in the way! I will keep trying!

We went to road house and while we were waiting for our food Ty helped himself to some toes!

Not pinterested any more...

After my success with painting the bathroom cabinets (thanks pinterest) Chris decided the kitchen cabinets would look so much better white. So "thanks" to pinterest, we (mostly I) have started painting the cabinets. WISH ME LUCK!

avacado

The doctor said Ty is under weight and that we should try some avocados since they are loaded with good fats. I mixed it with some banana and this is the first green thing he has not put up a fight with!

Mini Me

I woke up saturday not feeling so well. Daddy took Lil' Man so Mommy could sleep in. When I came out I found the two of them snoozing on the couch. How precious is this! My first thought was how cute are my boys followed up with, WHY WON"T HE DO THAT WITH ME?!? Daddy's mini me is sleeping in the same position <3 p="">

Speaking of mini me, check out that Gervais tongue that is constantly poking out of his mouth!

apples

Ty is skeptic when he sees me with a spoon, but one bite of apples and he was like OH, give me more! When he finished he screamed!

squash

Squash was ok...He was not crazy for it but it went down better than peas! We keep practicing drinking out of a cup but so far you refuse to drink water, you drink pedialite, and love apple juice as long as I don't dilute it! You are one tough cookie to trick!

Puffs

Dr. Higgens (who we have seem way too much of lately) has given us the go ahead on puffs. Ty is not a big fan of texture, but he is getting better with exploring them. She warned us that he will probably chew, gag, and then chew again but it still does not prepare you for watching your child gag while trying to eat something! He just looks up at you with those watery eyes like, why Mommy? Why would you let me choke like that?!?

7 Months!!

You are sitting up in short increments without support, but you usually fall over reaching for a toy. You push up on all fours, but unfortunately you face plant shortly after! Those 2 bottom teeth are visible but not out yet! You are doing better with your food and have tried carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, and bananas! Your verbal all the time making a wide variety of consonants and silly boy noises. We are FINALLY on a 4 hours schedule most of the time... You are ticklish on your sides and right by your collar bone. You also scream while I run the vacuum! Lately you have been sticking out your tongue at us. You no longer stay on your blanket, instead you roll off and usually end up under the table or kicking the bed. You have busy hands and busy feet.

Everything but toys...

It is amazing how you can lay out all of these toys, but all he wants to do is kick the furniture...

Peas

I have decided since I am at home all day that I want to make Tyler's baby food. With all of these stories about things accidentally being packaged into formula and baby food, being able to know exactly what is in his food gives me a little piece of mind. Also, making his food is so much more cost effective. I am able to purchase organic vegetables (frozen or fresh) and make 12 ounces of food for less than the cost of 3 jars of food. I was a little nervous about starting this adventure because some of the foods I want to give him I have never cooked before! BUT, it is so incredibly easy!! I found this website that tells you how to make baby food and if you need to purchase organic or not. I typically only buy the "dirty dozen" organic unless it is on sale.

Today I busted out my Christmas present The Ninja Pulse blender. At first I was going to return this because when you use it you have to hold down a lever on the lid to make the blender run, but it turns out it is actually  better. You have easier control pulsing the the food, so mixing everything is easier. AND IT WORKS! We have gone through a couple blenders and the magic bullet before finding this gem! I microwaved my veggies, blended them, and put them into ice cube trays. Let the eating begin!

Peas was his first taste of real food. I love his reaction to vegetables! I think he is a little more like Grandma Gonyea than we thought!

Photo Shoot tag alongs

Today we met up with Casey to do a photo shoot and Tyler was mesmerized by all of the sticks that were poking up everywhere! He was so determined to reach one of them. It is so cute to watch you explore the world around you! And since you were such a good boy, Casey snapped a cute picture of you too!!

Ty was sitting in his chair and I went to give him his bear from Auntie Lindsay and he started cracking up! Of course the minute we started recording he stopped, but I got a good couple of laughs out of him...
