Silly little monkey

 Mommy decided to go for a walk and Tyler kept swinging his arm and hitting the monkey. I was so distracted by Lil' man that I did NOT notice the dark rain clouds over us and our casual stroll turned into a full sprint. It sadly took me 5 minutes to catch my breath when we finally made it home...Hey that stroller is heavy!

Church melt down

Today was Tyler's 2nd time at church. We were just sitting down to listen to the service when our number was paged. I jumped up so fast I left my purse and Daddy and rushed out the doors where I could immediately hear Tyler's cry! I rushed into the infant room and as soon as they handed him to me he snuggled into my neck and stopped crying. Mommy and Ty spent the rest of the time together in the family room and poor Daddy had no idea where we were! After the service we cheered Tyler up with 5 guys and some snuggle time with Daddy. We will try again next week :)

Pacifier BANDIT!

We have started to have an epademic of hits being made on pacifiers...I came out in the middle of the night and thought it was a poop, but sadly (and gladly) it was not!

My new favorite thing to do is eat my yummy fist! Today I figured out how to open my hands so I can get my fingers inside, and I successfully made myself gag!

Tough Day

Today was a hard day for the Gervais family. We went downtown to Levine's Children's Hospital so Tyler could have some testing done on his kidney. He was such a big boy and I think he recovered faster than Mommy and Daddy. On the way out of the hospital we spent 20 minutes walking around the parking garage because we couldn't find our car. Every time we would follow the noise (well, the echo anyways!) from the Jeep we would decide it was on a different floor! Daddy saved the day and found it for us :)

Time for church

Today was Tyler's 1st day in the church nursery! Everybody said how cute he was and wanted to hold him. I must have been sleep deprived because I kept telling everyone he was 8 weeks old when he was almost 10, and Daddy didn't even tell me until we were home! I did better than I thought I would, I had tears in my eyes but I held it together and didn't cry! We spent half the service staring at the little sign that would page us if there was a problem, but all went well on his first visit :)

2 months old

Wow it is so amazing how fast this little man has grown. He is out of newborn clothes and his feet are already at the end of his clothes in 0-3 months. We have made some more progress with sleeping by himself in his bed like a big boy! We still wake up several times a night, but most of the time he goes right back to sleep when he is done. Although he does not like the play mat, he does enjoy the bouncy seat and kicks like crazy while he is in it. It is also his favorite thing to poop on, so gross! There has also been an increase in drooling and blowing bubbles, what a boy! He now likes bath time, and Daddy and I are a great team getting him clean. We have taken several long car rides (3 or more hours) and he does fairly well. He also enjoys our nightly walks (or at least we try) in his stroller. He grunts now and has developed his "I am very mad" cry and it is ear piercing. He is so responsive now and coos back with you. 

His smile melts Mommy's heart!

Golf and butterflies...

While on vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains in NC Daddy and Jojo played 18 holes of golf while Gramma Doll and Mommy took pictures from the balcony. Then we got distracted and started taking pictures of a butterfly!

Tough guy

Gramma Doll bought little man this cute outfit! How appropriate it says Daddy's little tough guy and he has his boxing hands ready!

Daddy fixed the dirt bike (that is for sale!) today and Tyler went on his first dirt bike! Well he sat on it at least!

Announcements

It took me almost 2 weeks but Tyler and I FINALLY mailed off the birth announcements! I really thought he was going to be 12 by the time I found the time to address, stamp, label, and mail 50 birth announcements...Tyler bounced in his seat and supervised the entire process :)
