ACC down town celebration

In honor of the ACC championship game all of the ACC mascots were down town. Ty and T took pictures with an FSU cheerleader :) We aslo took pictures with Santa and Ty loved his beard!

In the crib we have gymnastics, but on a blanket we have this...He would rather lay there and watch everything going on around him and chew on toys then try to go anywhere. The exception is when I put him on his tummy, he rolls over onto his back and then lays there...I know this is a blessing because he stays but COME ON! Can we have gymnastics on the blanket and he stays where I put him in the crib?!?

One last snuggle

As you get bigger and bigger our time of snuggling on the couch is slowly disappearing  You are so much bigger than when we first brought you home, but there will always be room for you to snuggle with Mama. I really will miss these days...

We are that in between phase where 3-6 months are too small but 6-12 are just a little too big...

Happy 1st thanksgiving!

We started our Thanksgiving off right by eating cheese dip while watching football! It was just the 3 of us, and it is really hard to make a thanksgiving meal with just 2 people eating!

The main event for Thanksgiving was Tyler trying oatmeal for the 1st time! This was a messy event but that is to be expected. the consistency is like thicker milk and not oatmeal so Tyler kept spitting the milk out of his mouth. He did start sucking his thumb after I put it in which helped keep SOME of the food in his mouth. It was all over his face, close, high chair, bib, and ME! I can't believe we are starting food!!!

Ty and I picked out his 1st cereal for tomorrow! I hope he likes it!

To go in, or not to go in...that is the question

We are so lucky as parents to have the kind of technology to watch our children while we sleep. No more standing at the door thinking what is he doing in there? This is how I found out Ty is still doing gymnastics at bedtime. This time he rolled so much he managed to wrap himself up like a baby burrito and fell asleep! It is getting harder to put him down awake when he does this. I usually go back in and reset him but now he rolls over before I am out of the room, or he ends up with his face pressed into the corner of the crib where I CAN'T leave him. I hope we figure this out soon!

Lunch to go

After leaving Chelsea and family in DC (tear), Ty snacked on his teething ring while we ate the lunch Chel packed for us!! Thanks!

Night Night Daddy

After traveling from China (and not sleeping on the plane!) and then driving back to North Carolina, Daddy was all pooped out! Good things he likes the blanket I made ;)

We have reached a new milestone when it comes to Tyler's mobility, he can roll (when HE wants to) all over the place! Naturally he picks the crib to do this and he managed to get stuck in the bars!

Work visit

We went to visit Lori at work and show off her cute nephew!!

5 Months

You are so big! You no longer share your wonderful smile with just anyone. You roll from your tummy to your back, and you especially like to move in your crib! You have a giggle now, and our purpose in life is to make you giggle all the time! You have also found a new sound, this high pitch screech that sounds like you are in a scary movie. You have started to prefer sucking your fingers over your pacifier despite my best efforts. You also enjoy sucking on your toes! When I lay you on your back you usually hold onto your feet and rock to the side. You have really started enjoying toys too!

The day before Emily was jumping over he blanket in the living room and Tyler was cracking up! We seriously watched her jump over a blanket of 10 minutes! So Today (when I remembered to take pictures!!) Emily and Logan were trying to do this again.They got him laughing but nothing like the day before! If I can ever get this video to load you can see this!

Sewing Lessons

Gramma Doll taught me how to sew! Our original plan was to make a stocking, but they didn't have the pattern. Then we were going to make a table runner, but the holiday fabric was ugly...So we made a blanket for Ty!

Happy Fall

While in Massachusetts I could not resist putting Tyler in a pile of leaves in the back yard! Gramma got a pile ready and Ty was all smiles!

For Jojo's 60th birthday Gramma threw him a big surprise party at the Steaming Tender train station. He was so shocked when we walked in and everyone was waiting :)

The 15 hour drive to Massachusetts was made better when we found a friendly's on the way!
